New Rule for Insured Person (IP) generation under ESIC

Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) introduced a new rule, wherein, all new joinees would be allotted/seeded with IP number, immediately upon his date of appointment. Thus, ESIC online portal currently mandates companies to generateIP details and seed the same within 10 days of joining to avoid any discrepancies.

The department has informed, that any such monthly contribution for such employees must be submitted within the due date.

The department shall allow remittances after 42 days from the end date of the contribution period (for eg. November 12 for September wage month).

Minimum Wage in Delhi Revised

The Government in Delhi, Labour Department vide. Gazette Notification dated 22nd October, 2019 has notified the New Rates of Minimum Wages in Delhi for the class of workmen/employees mentioned in all the Schedule employments. The enhanced minimum wages for unskilled workers have been fixed at Rs.14,842 per month, for semi-skilled workers at Rs.16,341 per month, and for skilled workers at Rs.17,991 per month.

EPFO warns their members about fraudulent scams

Recently there have been a few reports of scamsters trying to dupe PF depositors after seeking personal details like UAN and AADHAAR number. EPFO department has issued a press release informing all its members that, “EPFO never asks you to share your personal details like Aadhaar, PAN card, UAN or bank details over phone. EPFO never calls any member or subscriber to deposit any amount in any bank. Please do not respond to such fake calls”.

All members are requested to beware of such fraudulent calls, and not entertain or provide any personal details through such unreliable channels.

ESIC updates (FYKI)

ESIC to Set-Up 100 Bedded Hospital at Srinagar and 30 Bedded Hospital at LEH. Cash Reward of Rs. Five Lakh Announced to ace Para-Shuttler Shri PramodBhagat, an Employee of ESIC.

New ESIC hospital at Rudrapur (Uttarakhand) with 100 bed facility inaugurated in October. The hospital has been constructed in a plot area of 5 acres along with 32 staff quarters with an approx. cost of Rs.97.72 crore.
